Terrace Point (Land Development)
Day 1-
The group will review the draft of the environmental planning documents, issued in the previous six months, by the university. This will be in preparation for a Draft Long Range Development Plan and accompanying Environmental Impact Report. The Group will then go out and around the site and take photos of the areas in which can be developed on, or places where development would cause environmental problems for Terrace Point, and bordering areas. These pictures will be used when making a Draft Long Range Development Plan and accompanying Environmental Impact Report.
Day 2-
The group will split up and each of the individuals will make a survey. This survey will
be to check if what Terrace Point needs was in the environmental planning documents, and to see if there was anything that isn’t needed. They’d do this survey by asking the locals and also by doing an observation of the areas. The California Coastal Commission will be closely referred will this survey is carried out. The basis of the California Coastal Commission is to Protect, conserve, restore, and enhance environmental and human-based resources of the California coast and ocean for environmentally sustainable and prudent use by
current and future generations. Finally, the group will then use this survey to make an environmental impact report, in order to disclose and analyze any potential environmental impacts of the proposed developments.

Napa River (Pollution)
Day 1-
The group will make signs and posters that state that grapes vines belong on the valley floor, not on the hillside. Once this is completed, the group will walk around roads near the river with their signs and posters. Other members of the group will go down to the river and take pictures of the pollution, as well as the deforestation. These pictures will also be printed out and carried around.
Day 2-
The group will take water samples of the Napa River, and check for acidity levels using BTB. The data will be sent to the EPA, who on March 17th, 2012, decided to allow the runoff to continue for another 10 years. The data collected will indicate that this decision is in violation of the Clean Water act, which states that the nation's waters shall be both swimmable and fishable. Finally, the students will go grape picking from vineyards on the valley floor.

Pesky Moths (Invasive EGVM)
Day 1-
The group will travel and tour the beautiful Napa Valley, and get a tour of how wine is made and will take a nature walk through the countries vineyards. While on the walk, the group will take pictures of the moths in action, and will look at the damage they are causing to the plants and to the grapes. This will show the group first hand how the EGVM is a pest to the region. Next, students will go grape picking in the luscious vineyards, and keep the grapes they obtain. Finally, the group will then travel to San Francisco and will sight see the attractions around the city. This is the recreation day.
Day 2-
The group will travel to the The Napa County Department of Agriculture and will learn about how the state is already combating the invasive species, and will interview Commissioner Dave Whitmer with questions that they have prepared earlier that day. The group will then travel to a predetermined site in which no device is apparent to combat the species, and will install a Mating Disruption devices in order to help lower the number of moths in that area. The site will be one that the NCDA and the USDA have already cleared for a MD device, and the group will be assisted by a NCDA field member. Finally, the group will proceed to San Francisco again, and will spit up in groups to hand out flyers and raise public awareness of the problem, offering ways for the public to donate money to the cause.

Endangered Owls (Northern Spotted Owl)
Day 1 -
The group will take a nature hike through the wilderness in hope of spotting a northern spotted owl. Then during the trip through the woods we will look for other species that the northern spotted owl indicates like elk. So we will also try and get photos of the animals that are starting to go extinct
Day 2-
The group will try and raise awareness for Northern spotted owl by talking with people who go to the forest, putting up posters about how we can help and how to contact us. Then we will make a petition to stop the logging in the chaparral and areas near it.
